International Women's Day

International Women’s Day is held annually on 8 March and is a global day of celebrating the social economic, cultural and political achievements of women. It is also used as a day to campaign for women’s equality and bring any awareness to the lack thereof.

We'd like to introduce you to five amazing women in our LeRêve business, each with her own unique story, who are all succeeding with their personal goals and breaking the gender bias through their accomplishments.

Celebrating Influential Women

Amie Lindeberg has a bustling business and adorable family, with a well-earned maturity beyond her years. She joined LeRêve at just 18 years of age and immediately set about proving that young women can get it done! When she’s not going live online or coaching her team members, Amie loves spending time with her husband and beautiful two children, and sharing fun videos on Tik Tok!

We asked Amie to answer a few questions to gain a better insight into her life as an influential woman…

Q. Tell us a fun memory from your time in LeRêve.
A. So far the most fun I have ever had in LeRêve is definitely at our big conferences with fancy awards banquets and loads of fun lifestyle experiences

Q. How do you think LeRêve has helped you develop as an empowered and influential woman.
A. LeRêve has helped me believe that anything is possible if you make the decision to go all in. I’m all in!

Q. Share a challenge you have had to overcome in your life.
A. My biggest challenge was falling pregnant at age 18 and having such a big fear of the unknown. As a mum you want to give your children the best life you possibly can and I knew from the minute I became a consultant in LeRêve that I was home and it was time to create magic, money and fun for my family.

Q. What advice do you have for aspiring women like yourself?
A. I have lots!! When you feel like you want to give up, push harder because when times get tough in business you’re nearly there. Not every ‘no’ that you receive is a personal attack. Never pre-judge because you never know what that person is going through. Not everyone is like you, and that’s okay, learn from them. This business has a non-capped earning potential, you’re worth it, go and get it. Put your business as your number one priority in your life for 6 months and watch it double!

Jessica lives in the beautiful Yarra Valley in Victoria and as well as having a new baby, she is the step-mum to a 17 year old boy. She joined LeRêve 4 years ago because of her passion for aromatherapy, natural health remedies and low toxicity living, and the extra money. Previously Jess worked full time in a Primary School where LeRêve was her ‘side hustle’. She now loves having a business that gives her the flexibility to stay home with “my little man”.

We asked Jessica to answer a few questions to gain a better insight into her life as an influential woman…

Q. Tell us a fun memory from your time with LeRêve.
A. Catching up with the girls in LeRêve is always so much fun and I’ve made so many amazing friends. A particular fun memory with them, would be a time I achieved a spot in the limousine with some great leaders, on the way to a fancy function in the city for our LeRêve Christmas Banquet, as I’d never been treated to something like that before.

Q. How do you think LeRêve has helped you develop as an empowered and influential woman?
A. LeRêve offer so many opportunities for personal development, followed by amazing support and training which have definitely played a big role in becoming an empowered woman. But realistically, it’s being surrounded and being encouraged by other empowered business woman in LeRêve that has given me the biggest drive. I’ve seen them work hard to get where they are. I’ve seen them have babies, raise families, work, run their homes, home-school their children through COVID-19 lockdowns, and be successful in their own business. So being surrounded by strong, amazing friends, mothers and woman empower me, because if they can do it, so can I.

Q. Tell us a challenge you have had to overcome in your life.
A. To be honest, my biggest challenge has been becoming a mum. It’s really shocked me because all my life I’ve wanted to be a mum and have a family. The reality is that it’s hard work! Harder then I envisaged. My mental health was hit hard last year as I was already scared and overwhelmed as a new mum. Then add in the constant lockdowns and restriction and limited support, being a new mum definitely has been challenging. But it’s also the most rewarding thing I’ve ever experienced. I’ve overcome this by seeking support, enjoying every minute with him and finding a happy balance with my time as a new mum and running a successful business from home.

Q. What advice do you have for any aspiring women like yourself?
A. I’ve previously looked up to leaders in LeRêve and thought “ they are so lucky” and “they have it all” and “I could never do what they do”, and worst of all, “I’m not good enough”. So my biggest advice is STOP telling yourself you’re not enough! STOP saying all of those things. Surround yourself with the right people.  People who support you, people who are positive, people who cheer you on and not bring you down. Ask for help and seek support and most importantly believe in yourself, because you CAN do anything you put your mind to.

Luisa Massaro was working long hours running her own business when she joined LeRêve. She was so passionate about the health benefits of LeRêve’s aromatherapy oils for herself and her family, that she soon left her business to do LeRêve fulltime. She was mentally healthier and happier knowing she didn’t need to work such long hours to receive an even better income. She has two children and four beautiful grandchildren that she loves so spoil, and gets to do amazing “Nanna things with my four young besties”. Luisa and her husband Nick have shared many trips and holidays with their LeRêve family and look forward to more adventures.

We asked Luisa to answer a few questions to gain a better insight into her life as an influential woman…

Q. Tell us a fun memory from your time with LeRêve.
A. Once I travelled just over an hour to do an in-home Party. When I arrived I realised I had left my kit by the front door of my house instead of putting it in the boot of my car. I then did an “Imagine if I had” party that was over $1000 in sales with two onward bookings!

Q. How do you think LeRêve has helped you develop as an empowered and influential woman?
A. Thanks to LeRêve I have learned to weather the storms and ride the waves that are business and life. I concern myself only of that which I have control over and it frees my mind to find opportunities to be a better self in all areas thus being of help and guidance to others.

Q. Tell us a challenge you have had to overcome in your life.
A. Taking my business from in-home Parties to online Parties with little or no knowledge of technology. I stayed up night after night googling how to do Facebook lives, to end up having the strongest months and years ever in my entire LeRêve career.

Q. What advice do you have for any aspiring women like yourself?
A. If I had to advise any woman who aspired to grow mentally and financially in regards to their career, I would simply say that as you grow older, you have the luxury to not be locked into a job that exhausts you of your time and energy. If you don’t love what you do, then just don’t do it. Find, like I did, a job that takes as much or as little time to do as your lifestyle permits. Save precious time for the things that really matter like kids, grandkids, your partner and more importantly YOU.

Lynette Kanongataa is a beloved member of our LeRêve Tongan family and lives in Auckland, New Zealand. As the mother of 6 children and 10 grandchildren, she is able to divide her time between being a successful LeRêve leader, her Tongan community and her family.

We asked Lynette to answer a few questions to gain a better insight into her life as an influential woman…

Q. Tell us a fun memory from your time with LeRêve.
A. I remember my two youngest daughters always enjoyed going with me do perfume Parties and helped me do all my displays. Whoever did the best display of the night won a Big Mac combo from McDonalds!

Q. How do you think LeRêve has helped you develop as an empowered and influential woman?
A. LeRêve has helped me develop my self-belief. The personal development has helped my business and created a better lifestyle for me and my family.

Q. Tell us a challenge you have had to overcome in your life.
A. COVID-19 suddenly hit and it affected my business because it created a lot of challenges. I could no longer do in-home Parties and there was a shortage of stock. I learned that I had the freedom to choose and would do whatever I could to get sales.  I learned how to do Facebook, Zoom and videocall Parties to get sales through these methods.

Q. What advice do you have for any aspiring women like yourself?
A. Believe in yourself that you can do anything you really want. Stay focused as all you desire will come.

Melissa Gyde has been with LeRêve for almost 2 years, and she feels like it is something she was always destined to do. She loves sharing the LeRêve products and helping other people.

Melissa enjoys working her own hours and setting her own challenges and goals, with her family as her biggest supporters. She also coaches 3 New Zealand marching teams with girls and ladies ranging from 6-60 years. As a huge sports fan she loves a good NZ vs AUS. sports challenge of any type.

We asked Melissa to answer a few questions to gain a better insight into her life as an influential woman…

Q. Tell us a fun memory from your time with LeRêve.
A. Oh wow where to start…. My whole journey over the past two years with LeRêve has been amazing! I love the opportunities I have every day to meet new people, to share my dreams and do something I never thought I could do. My first Founders achievement last year was a fabulous day where I was treated to a delicious lunch and I got to meet all the other achievers and Kimball. LeRêve is just always FUN for me - from the Parties, to the meetings, to the friendships, to how spoilt we are. I feel so privileged to have been offered this opportunity to work with and for such amazing people.

Q. How do you think LeRêve has helped you develop as an empowered and influential woman?
A. LeRêve has helped me grow so much in confidence to the point where I can actually speak up and be proud of what I’m doing and have done. Leadership development training is also teaching me to have the power to control my own thoughts and feelings and believe I can do anything I put my mind too. I know this is still developing, and I will continue to become more influential as I keep learning and growing and developing as a leader.

Q. Tell us a challenge you have had to overcome in your life.
A. Four years ago I struggled through mental health issues. Although I haven’t completely overcome this challenge in my life, I have certainly learned to deal with it and the many ways I can be affected on any given day. Life sometimes can send me on a roller coaster of emotions, but learning to control my own thoughts and feelings is something I’m constantly developing with the help of the LeRêve’s leadership development training. Over the past couple of years with LeRêve, I’ve had moments too. My mental health tends to go on little unplanned journeys from time to time, so lots of positive mindset and energy is needed to pick me up again. Like becoming a Director – it took time, and at times I didn’t think I was going to get there, but perseverance, determination and great leaders and supporters helped me overcome my issues, and I worked at it when the time was right for me.  The past couple of weeks have been huge for me too and a lot of realisations have taken place personally. I can’t wait to keep learning and overcoming any challenges pop into in my path.

Q. What advice do you have for any aspiring women like yourself?
A. Stick at what you are doing and never ever give up. When times are tough, refocus and remind yourself that you can do anything you put your mind to, and that when the time is right for you, it will happen. In the words of our CEO Phil Hobby – “Dream big - because small dreams hold no magic.”
